Description
At its core, the story of The Hunger Games is about the power of one person to change the world.

Set in the future remnants of the USA in a new nation called Panem, one male and one female "tribute" between the ages of 11 and 18 from each of Panem's twelve districts is forced to participate in an annual competition called the Hunger Games, which is broadcast live throughout the country for the entertainment of the Capitol's wealthy residents.

Now, bestselling author Suzanne Collins and the world of The Hunger Games return in her latest addition to the series: Sunrise on the Reaping.

This song fits The Hunger Games so well, like when you hear it it gives you the same feelings you got when you read the book.

You know, a lot of people say they like the covers better.. and yes, some of them are REALLY good, but the only thing that keeps me loyal to the original would be.. the raw, shakiness in her voice. It's like.. pure emotion. I really just LOVE the shakiness, and slight breathiness in her voice so much. That's what makes it stand out from all the covers.

This song catches perfectly the part when Kat drugs Peeta and go herself to the encounter, fearing nothing, to save him.

You guys ever watch a movie, and fall asleep in the middle. Than you wake up to the end credits and than there's this beautiful song playing, and you force yourself to find out the name of the song and download it? Thats what this was for me

Who else is still here in 2024? I’m really hoping for more Hunger Games songs from Taylor at some point

Oh boy. Why Suzanne Collins, why kill all those people we loved?? I haven't listened to this song in so long but after Mockingjay Part 2 it was definitely necessary to come back to it. After the first movie people were all like "It's just for Rue!" But I'm pretty sure all of us book fans knew this song was gonna be the song for all the characters lost along the way :'( And I also think it's for the survivors, Katniss and Peeta especially, because they of course have to find peace as well.

I listen to this when I try to go to bed. I lay on my back, lace my fingers on my chest and close my eyes, and then the scenario comes. I'm lying in my coffin, as people pass by and tears drip down their faces. Then in the middle, my friends come up to me when they are about to lower the casket, and kiss my coffin. the top part is a strong glass, so they may see it, and when I'm being lowered, the last parts of the song come up. When I'm being burried, it ends, and my eyes open. Then I have tears in my eyes.
