My mom gave me a homework assignment 490 days ago when she was diagnosed with rectal cancer and did not want me to spiral out of control. It was to write "I am not thinking one drink will ever be safe". 10 times a day in a journal screenshot it and send it to her. I have been doing it without skipping a single day ever since. That homework assignment has changed my life and so many ways and my outlook on death. I really feel that she has prepared me for when she's no longer physically within reach. Six more months until I turn 50 years old. Recently, I looked in the mirror and revamped my skin care routine and was blown away how little women Six more months until I turn 50 years old.
